Hi, we are the team behind ThermoGlow: Andrea and Tom.
We are outdoor lovers and adventurers. We love spending time in nature with our families. Whether hiking, cycling, ski touring or somewhere near the water, we can always find something to do outside.
We both had the chance to live and work in Asia for several years, where we were confronted with the massive waste and plastic problem every day. The lack of recycling behavior and the overcrowded landfills shocked us every day!
The population still consumes around 1 million plastic bottles per minute! Approximately 91% of plastic waste is still not recycled.
Approximately half of our annual plastic consumption is used for disposable plastic production. The iron and steel sector is directly responsible for 2.6 gigatons of carbon dioxide (GtCO2) per year, 7% of the world's total energy system emissions and more than the emissions of all road freight transport
Our vision
Time for a change! We both worked for international companies for a long time in the areas of product development and marketing/sales and were always exchanging ideas about products. The shared vision of developing a product that noticeably reduces the ecological footprint has always been considered a passion and led us to ThermoGlow: bringing a new drinking bottle onto the market that combines two products and is ecological and environmentally friendly at the same time!
After trying out many water bottles on our trips, we noticed that none of the thermal bottles met our expectations in terms of sustainability. Most drinking bottles on the market were made from resource-intensive, conventional stainless steel. Although using these bottles is a way to avoid plastic and promote the idea of refills, the production of ST/ST stainless steel is still very resource-intensive. With ThermoGlow we want to avoid exactly these intensive production processes.
It is our absolute goal to develop further products that meet the standards of sustainable manufacturing processes and materials - and we look forward to continuous new additions and further developments!
